FTC Drops Antitrust Battle Against Rambus

Law360, New York (May 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Closing the book on a nearly seven-year legal battle over patent information, the Federal Trade Commission has issued an order dropping the remainder of its antitrust case against technology licensing company Rambus Inc.

The FTC’s dismissal comes after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up the case earlier in 2009. The commission's fight against Rambus involved allegations that company had violated antitrust laws by concealing information about patents.
