Big Class Nixed In Toys 'R' Us Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (May 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A putative price-fixing class action against retail giant Toys “R” Us Inc. and several makers of high-end baby products will proceed with several small classes, not one big class, a judge has said.

In an order filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Judge Anita Brody said that a class action against Babies “R” Us and several baby products manufacturers would proceed with several small classes action, not the large class with subclasses the plaintiffs' counsel had sought.
