Dechert Settles Discrimination Suit With Ex-Worker

Law360 (May 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dechert LLP has reached a settlement with a former word-processing coordinator who accused the firm of discriminating against him on the basis of his race and a disability that affected his vocal chords.

Judge Paul A. Crotty of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York signed an order discontinuing the action on Thursday, just a day after receiving a letter from Dechert's counsel informing the court that the parties had reached an amicable resolution in principle.
