Toshiba, Micron Settle Long-Running Patent Battle

Law360 (September 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ending a two-year dispute, Japan’s Toshiba Corp. and U.S. semiconductor maker Micron Technology have settled their patent battle over flash NAND memory chips.

Under the terms of the settlement, Toshiba will purchase some of Micron’s semiconductor technology patents and license patents owned by Lexar Media Inc., acquired by Micron earlier this year, for $288 million.
