Energy Partners Files Prenegotiated Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Oil and natural gas exploration company Energy Partners Ltd., which said it hoped to emerge from bankruptcy protection this summer, has filed a prenegotiated restructuring plan and disclosure statement, setting the stage for a June 10 hearing on the statement.

The Chapter 11 plan and disclosure statement were filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on Friday, two weeks after Energy Partners and certain domestic subsidiaries sought Chapter 11 protection.
