FDA Inquiry Spurs Lawsuit Against Cheerios Maker

Law360 (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Following a letter sent by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration letter to General Mills Inc. ordering it to revise marketing for Cheerios cereal earlier this month, a consumer has filed a proposed class action accusing the company of misleading consumers about the cereal’s ability to lower cholesterol.
