High Court Widens Twombly Standard's Reach

Law360 (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 on Monday that the heightened pleading standard it set forth in Bell Atlantic Corp. v. Twombly applies to all federal civil complaints, a decision that could have far-reaching effects not only in antitrust but in securities and many other areas of law as well.
