Charges Added V. Agriprocessors, Exec In Raid Case

Law360, New York (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors have hit now-bankrupt kosher meatpacker Agriprocessors Inc. and a former Iowa plant executive with 70 new charges of harboring illegal workers for profit in connection with a May 2008 immigration raid.

In the sixth superseding indictment filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, the company and the former vice president of the Postville, Iowa, plant, Sholom Rubashkin, were charged with one count in connection to each individual immigrant allegedly harbored at the plant for financial gain.
