Fed. Circ. Nixes Autogenomics Patent Suit Appeal

Law360 (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge in California was right to dismiss Autogenomics Inc.'s patent case against England-based Oxford Gene Technology Ltd. for lack of personal jurisdiction, an appeals court has ruled.

Nor did the district court abuse its discretion in refusing to allow jurisdictional discovery, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled on Monday in a 2-1 opinion that included a dissent.
