Employee Fired By Snack Giant Because Of Age, Jury Says

Law360 (March 19, 2018, 8:23 PM EDT) -- Global snacks giant Mondelez owes one of its employees $200,000 in her suit alleging she was terminated for registering complaints about age discrimination within the company, a Pennsylvania federal jury found Monday.

Joan Konsavage had alleged she gave Mondelez and its predecessor, Nabisco, more than 30 years of her life only to be fired not long after a new manager came on board and started making comments about how Konsavage and her long-tenured peers were “dead wood” on his team, court records show.
