Finisar Patent Claims Nixed In Suit Against DirecTV

Law360 (May 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district court ruled Tuesday that five patent claims asserted by Finisar Corp. against satellite television company DirecTV Group Inc. in a patent suit over technology used in electronic programming guides are invalid, about a year after an appeals court reversed a $78.9 million jury verdict for Finisar.
