9th Circ. Revives Chase APR Class Action

Law360, New York (May 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has overturned the dismissal of a putative class action alleging Chase Bank USA NA deceived credit card customers by not clearly disclosing the risk factors that would lead it to increase a cardholder's annual percentage rate.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday ruled that Chase had failed to conspicuously disclose that information, reversing and remanding a dismissal from the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
