Veterans' Employment Rights Act Passes House

Law360 (May 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives has approved legislation that would allow the U.S. Office of Special Counsel to enforce the re-employment rights of veterans or current members of the military working in the federal sector.

On Tuesday, the House passed the Veterans Employment Rights Realignment Act of 2009, H.R. 1089, which Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D., introduced in February.
