Hard Rock Should Get $732K Fees In Franchise Row: Judge

Law360 (March 26, 2018, 8:47 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal court judge recommended Monday that Hard Rock Café International Inc. be awarded a total of $732,224 in attorneys’ fees and costs after successfully defending itself from a Bahamas-based franchisee’s suit alleging violations of Florida’s unfair trade practices law.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Karla R. Spaulding said in a report and recommendations that Hard Rock was owed $707,446 in attorneys’ fees and $24,778.18 in costs and litigation expenses from franchisee HRCC Ltd. in the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act dispute that went up...
