Lehman Unit Fights To Guard $125M For Creditors

Law360, New York (May 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A debtor in the Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. bankruptcy has filed two more adversary lawsuits, seeking to protect a total of $125 million the fallen financial giant claims should go toward servicing its creditors.

In one suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Lehman Brothers Special Financing Inc. alleges that BNY Corporate Trustee Services Ltd., an English affiliate of Bank of New York Mellon, is improperly trying to modify the debtor's right to priority of payments under swap...
