Court Bounces Antitrust Suit Over Copper Tubing

Law360, New York (September 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lending a boost to a slew of metal firms, a federal judge has dismissed one of the class actions facing Mueller Europe Ltd. and others that stand accused of engaging in anti-competitive practices in the U.S. copper pipe market.

On Wednesday, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee tossed out the complaint against Mueller Europe and 22 additional defendants stemming from alleged participation in a U.S. copper cartel.
