Advisers Can't Force FINRA Arbitration: Calif. Court

Law360 (June 1, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three investment advisers embroiled in a dispute with their former boss over trade secrets cannot force him into arbitration run by a self-regulatory organization, a California appeals court has ruled.

Sean Agahi will have to fight his dispute with former boss John Valentine in state court, the Court of Appeal for the State of California said in a ruling issued Friday.
