AIG Accuses Starr Of Trying To Stoke Bonus Fire

Law360, New York (June 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- American International Group Inc. is seeking to ban evidence about its employee bonuses that sparked a public outcry from its upcoming civil trial with Starr International Co., the investment firm managed by former AIG CEO Maurice “Hank” Greenberg.

On Monday, AIG balked at Starr's updated exhibit list, which includes various media clippings, letters and other material connected to the “irrelevant” bonuses that the company's attorneys say are designed to sway jury opinion.
