P&G, McNeil-PPC Settle Teeth-Whitening Patent Spat

Law360 (June 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Procter & Gamble Co. has reached a settlement with McNeil-PPC Inc., ending a patent infringement suit that claimed McNeil's Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips infringed a patent for a teeth-whitening process.

Judge Barbara B. Crabb dismissed the case on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, after counsel advised her that the parties had settled.

Attorneys for P&G and McNeil did not respond immediately to requests for comment on Wednesday, and further information on the settlement was not made public....
