Maryland Court Affirms OB-GYN’s License Revocation

Law360 (June 1, 2018, 4:33 PM EDT) -- A Maryland Appeals Court has affirmed a state medical board's revocation of a doctor's license to practice after he delivered a 28-week stillborn fetus in his office instead of in a hospital, putting the mother's life in great danger if something unexpected had happened.

The Court of Special Appeals of Maryland on Wednesday found that the Maryland State Board of Physicians had sufficient evidence to revoke the license of Harold O. Alexander and that it did not act arbitrarily or capriciously in doing so.
