Emery Wins Fee Dispute With Fellow Lockerbie Atty

Law360, New York (June 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that a lower court abused its discretion when it ordered Emery Celli Brinckerhoff & Abady LLP, which represented six plaintiffs in the consolidated action against Libya arising from the suitcase bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, to pay $1.44 million in contingency fees to the plaintiffs' committee in the case.
