Chubb Units Look To Arbitrate Plane Crash Coverage Row

Law360 (June 8, 2018, 7:45 PM EDT) -- A pair of Chubb Group insurers Thursday asked a New Mexico federal court to send a dispute between them and three other insurers over coverage for a fatal 2014 plane crash to arbitration, saying the other insurers have been stalling proceedings for months.

The Chubb companies claimed National Union Fire Insurance Co., Commerce and Industry Insurance Co. and AIG Aerospace Insurance Services agreed to arbitrate the dispute in March after months of negotiation, only to immediately demand large parts of the arbitration agreement they had just signed be redacted.
