Lockheed Wins Claim Construction In Satellite Suit

Law360, New York (September 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a major win for Lockheed Martin Corp., a federal court has granted the defense contractor’s motion to reconsider claim construction in a contentious patent infringement lawsuit over satellite orbit technology.

Silicon Valley satellite maker Space Systems Loral Inc. filed the lawsuit, which has been dragged through court for more than a decade. The suit concerns technology that helps satellites save fuel during orbit-correction procedures.
