Law Firm Disputes Default In Mortgage Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (June 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New Jersey law firm Kwasnik Rodio Kanowitz & Buckley PC is fighting a default judgment in a malpractice suit alleging its legal advice to a mortgage-modification business led to a Federal Trade Commission suit claiming the company misled consumers.

In the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on Friday, an attorney for the Cherry Hill, N.J., firm asked the court to vacate a default judgment entered that day.
