Design Firms Still On Hook In 9/11 Litigation

Law360, New York (June 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied motions to dismiss workplace injury cases against two design firms contracted to help renovate a building near the World Trade Center in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

William F. Collins, AIA, Architects LLP and Syska Hennessey Group Inc. had asked the court to dismiss the cases against them, saying that as design firms they had no control over workplace conditions.
