Nokia Settles Typhoon Touch-Screen Patent Spat

Law360 (June 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday approved a settlement between Typhoon Touch Technologies Inc. and Nokia Inc. in a patent fight over touch-screen computers, the latest in a string of settlements in the dispute.

In an order, Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed off on the deal, which was submitted to the court Thursday.

Craig Weiner, an attorney with Hofheimer Gartlir & Gross LLP and director of licensing for Typhoon, said the terms of the deal were confidential....
