Judge To Mull Chemical Cos.' Deal In Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (June 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge will soon consider whether to give preliminary approval to a nearly $1 million proposed class action settlement in multidistrict litigation accusing chemical companies of involvement in a conspiracy to fix and inflate the prices of methyl methacrylate and polymethyl methacrylate.

In an order Tuesday, Judge Timothy J. Savage of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said he would hold a hearing for preliminary approval of the deal with indirect purchasers on June 23.
