'Revenge Porn' Site MyEx.Com Shut Down By Nevada Judge

Law360 (June 25, 2018, 7:05 PM EDT) -- A Nevada federal judge ordered "revenge porn" website MyEx.com's operators to shut down and pay $2 million in a suit brought by the Federal Trade Commission and the Nevada attorney general alleging that the site illegally posted individuals' nude pictures without consent and charged takedown fees.

The FTC and the state of Nevada filed their lawsuit in January in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, alleging that MyEx.com unlawfully solicited pictures and videos of naked people from their former partners, along with names and other personal information, for the purpose of posting them publicly and getting "revenge" on...
