Miami Sets Sights Beyond Latin American Arbitrations

Law360 (June 26, 2018, 11:33 PM EDT) -- Miami has become the second-most popular U.S. venue for international arbitration thanks in large part to its appeal to Latin American parties, but Miami's arbitration lawyers say there's every reason to expect the city's popularity to continue to grow with parties all around the world.

Respondents to a survey on arbitration in the Americas released in April by the U.K.'s University of Leicester ranked Miami as their next-most preferred venue for international arbitration in the U.S. behind New York, outranking cities like Washington, D.C., Chicago and Atlanta by a relatively wide margin.
