Wis. Mulls Ban On BPA In Children's Products

Law360, New York (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Wisconsin lawmakers have announced plans to introduce legislation to ban the use of bisphenol A in children's bottles and cups, the latest effort in a growing movement among states to prohibit or limit the use of the controversial chemical.

State Sen. Julie Lassa and state Rep. Kelda Roys intend to introduce the BPA-Free Kids Act to ban the manufacture or sale of children's bottles or cups containing BPA and to require manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers to label children's bottles and cups as BPA free.
