Aeropostale, Coach, Others Sued Over Sales Patent

Law360 (June 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Several major retailers, including clothing store Aeropostale Inc., auto parts chain Autozone Inc. and handbag maker Coach Inc., have been hit with a patent infringement suit over automated sales technology.

The suit was filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas by Las Vegas-based patent-holding company Landmark Technology LLC.

Several other retailers Landmark sued over the same patents last year have settled in recent weeks.
