AIG Unit Loses Bid To Stay PCB Cleanup Suit

Law360, New York (June 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has rejected an American International Group Inc. subsidiary's petition to compel arbitration and to stay a suit filed by paper company NCR Corp. seeking indemnification for the cleanup of a massive environmental contamination site in Wisconsin.

In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday, National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa.'s suit against NCR seeking to stay litigation in Wisconsin and compel arbitration was closed.
