TDY Wants Feds To Help With Defense Site Cleanup

Law360 (June 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- TDY Industries Inc. has asked a federal court to find the U.S. government played a part in the contamination of an aeronautical manufacturing site where the company produced defense equipment, and should therefore cover a portion of cleanup costs that could run to $10 million.

TDY claims the federal government and the U.S. Department of Defense owned the site and are responsible for remediation under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, in a motion for partial summary judgment filed on Thursday in the U.S....
