Insurer Says Policy Doesn't Cover $6M Spam Ruling

Law360 (June 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Greenwich Insurance Co. has asked a court to rule that a policy it issued to online marketing company Media Breakaway LLC does not cover a $6 million judgment against the company for engaging in an illegal spamming scheme on MySpace.

The insurer filed a motion for summary judgment Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, arguing that its policies contain language clearly stating that they do not cover claims involving intentionally dishonest or fraudulent acts or willful violations of the law....
