House Panel Pushes Forward Little Shell Recognition Bill

Law360 (July 11, 2018, 6:16 PM EDT) -- The House Committee on Natural Resources on Wednesday easily passed a proposed bill that would give the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana federal recognition and a land base.

By a unanimous vote, the House Natural Resources Committee advanced the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians Restoration Act, also known as H.R. 3764, for consideration by the full House, according to a committee news release.
