EG Liquidating Co.'s Disclosure Statement Approved

Law360, New York (September 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Gardening giant EG Liquidating Company Ltd. has moved closer to liquidation, after the federal bankruptcy judge approved the company's disclosure statement and extended its exclusive right to seek approval for its liquidation plan.

The confirmation hearing on EG Liquidating’s first amended joint plan of liquidation is slated for November 14 before U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross. The deadline for objections is November 8.

EG Liquidating’s exclusivity period has been extended through November 29.
