Bidless EZ Lube Asks To Assume Property Leases

Law360, New York (June 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt EZ Lube LLC, one of the U.S.' largest privately owned quick-lube operators, has asked to assume the leases for most of its properties, having failed to find a bidder to purchase its assets through Chapter 11 proceedings.

In a motion filed Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, EZ Lube sought authorization for the immediate assumption of 73 unexpired leases, the approval of procedures to resolve any disputes over cure amounts for those leases, and an extension to its time period...
