Lowe's To Settle Class Action Over Overtime Pay

Law360, New York (September 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As many as 75,000 current and former employees could be affected by a settlement reached this week between home-improvement chain Lowe’s and a group of workers who claimed they were underpaid for working overtime.

The long-running dispute was settled more than four years after the first complaint was brought, according to court documents filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.

The terms of the settlement remain unknown, however, as the judge allowed details to be kept confidential for the time being....
