US Government Squeezed Out Of Bow Tie Patent Suit

Law360, New York (June 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. government has been thwarted in its bid to intervene in a false patent marking suit over labels on bow ties made by Brooks Brothers Inc. that was dismissed in May after a federal judge found that the qui tam relator lacked standing to pursue the penalties imposed by the Patent Act.
