Schwarzenegger Kills Universal Health Care Bill

Law360 (September 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has vetoed a bill aimed at providing universal health care, contending that a government-run system is not a solution to the health insurance problem.

On Friday, Schwarzenegger rejected the bill, knocking down the measure that would have provided every California resident with health coverage.
