Dechert Inks $1.4M Deal With Trustee Over Fees

Law360, New York (June 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has signed off on a $1.4 million payment from Dechert LLP to a North Carolina bankruptcy trustee who brought a fraudulent transfer lawsuit over fees paid to the firm in a case related to a paper mill.

Judge Graham C. Mullen's order, issued Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, says bankruptcy trustee Langdon Cooper is in receipt of the settlement payment and adds that the law firm can keep certain fees it already has received....
