Metal Co. Ex-VP Denies Liability In CERCLA Cleanup

Law360, New York (June 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Not my problem, a former director and vice president of an abrasive metal manufacturer has said in response to a suit claiming he and dozens of his fellow corporate officers should pay for the cleanup of an allegedly contaminated site in New Jersey.

Peter Rozema should not have to pay anything to clean up a site owned by his former employer, American Abrasive Metals, he said in an answer with 37 affirmative defenses, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey....
