Refco Racks Up Fees Of $14M In Four Months

Law360, New York (September 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Refco Inc. is facing fees and expenses of over $14 million for a recent four-month period to compensate lawyers and financial advisors for work in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, according to court filings.

Over half of that amount, for the period ending on May 31, 2006, is slated to go to the primary counsel for the debtors, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, which was awarded $7.14 million in fees and around $687,000 in expenses.
