BP Green Initiatives Head Named To DOI Post

Law360, New York (June 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sylvia V. Baca, a director of environmental programs at BP America Inc., has been named the head of land and minerals management at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where she also served during the Clinton administration.

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar named Baca as deputy assistant secretary for land and minerals management on Thursday. From 1995 to 2001, she was an assistant secretary at the DOI in the same capacity.
