Cobra Capital Trademark Case Snakes Into Court

Law360 (September 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge denied LaSalle Bank Corp.’s motion for summary judgment in a lawsuit over a slogan on Thursday, clearing the way for capital services company Cobra Capital LLC’s suit to continue.

Cobra filed suit against LaSalle Bank Corporation, LaSalle Bank N.A., LaSalle Bank Midwest N.A. and LaSalle National Leasing Corporation for their use of the slogan Making More Possible, saying it infringed on Cobra’s slogans Making Impossible Possible and Making The Impossible Possible.
