Epson Turns Sights On Online Ink Cartridge Sellers

Law360, New York (June 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Seiko Epson Corp. has opened a new front in its battle to defend its ink cartridge patents, suing six online ink cartridge retailers for allegedly selling after-market cartridges intended for use in Epson's printers.

In an amended complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, Epson and two U.S. subsidiaries accused Abacus 24-7 LLC, eForCity Corp., R&L Imaging Group Inc., XP Solutions LLC, Global Business Support Systems Inc. and Green Project Inc. of infringing numerous patents related to ink cartridges....
