Calif. Teachers Union Loses Campaign Fliers Case

Law360, New York (June 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- California's high court has shot down an attempt by a teachers union to overturn a policy barring it from distributing political campaign pamphlets through school mailboxes, ruling that the activity violates a state law prohibiting school “funds, services, supplies or equipment” from being used to further political activities.
