Nielsen Media Faces Membership Rep OT Suit

Law360, New York (June 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Television ratings company Nielsen Media Research Inc. has been hit with a proposed class action alleging it made membership representatives work more than 40 hours per week without paying them overtime.

In a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, former Nielsen employee Mary Henze said she and other membership representatives regularly worked 50 to 60 hours per week, but were not allowed to record all of their hours, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
