IBM Sets Stage For Making Patents Public

Law360 (September 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a groundbreaking move to curb patent disputes and litigation, patent champion International Business Machines has decided to publish its patent filings on the Web for public review.

The company hopes that its new policy, revealed Tuesday, will inspire other patent holders to do the same.
