Landlord Fights Dreier Liquidator's Bid For Payday

Law360, New York (June 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hines 499 Park LLC, landlord of defunct firm Dreier LLP, wants to block liquidator ClearBid Inc. from collecting fees and expenses from its former tenant because it says payments to ClearBid right now would unfairly discriminate against Hines and other creditors.

Hines doesn’t have a problem with ClearBid getting paid eventually, but the liquidator should not be paid at the present time, according to the objection Hines filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
